i miss you, holly

i miss holly dearly. i'm a fosterer for a cat charity and i've fostered quite a few felines over the past three years. i loved every single one of them (perhaps not so much the feral boy who peed all over my sofa), but it's certainly easier to say goodbye when we've only had a cat for a couple of weeks.

i had holly for four months. i was used to her waking me up in the morning asking for food. she loved chatting and i'm a talker too. i didn't love when she destroyed the loo roll, but it was kinda funny. she sunbathed on the floor next to the bathroom, she flopped and rolled when she wanted to play with us. she had a beautiful black patch on her nose and a very adorable (and somewhat inaccessible) white belly. at first she only sat on J's lap, but eventually she got used to plonking her little old self on my thighs and knees. her purrs weren't very loud but i could her them clearly when i picked her up like a baby in my arms. she complained, but i know she secretly enjoyed the cuddles.

i met the adopters and i know holly is going to be very happy. i'm not worried about her at all. i'm just sad to have to let go of another furry friend.
